My name is Angelica Sydney. In February 2015, I travelled to Trinidad and Tobago to document Carnival.
Tabanca is a West Indian colloquial term for being "lovesick." The term does not necessarily have to refer to person but, a feeling for missing something or someone.
The photo essay takes the viewers through a colourful journey showing the events leading to one of the biggest festivals in the Caribbean ... Carnival.
